The Communications Section is staffed 24 hours a day 7 days a week and is equipped to provide radio and computer dispatch to patrol deputies, investigators, eight county volunteer fire stations, one city fire station, two rescue stations, emergency management, as well as coordinating several other state and federal agencies and weather alerts.  A common shift includes dispatching for five patrol deputies, investigators, fire and rescue personnel, two 911 call lines, four normal incoming phone lines, and six radio frequencies.
